Red Wok Buffet is a lively spot in east Phoenix where you can dive into a broad range of Asian flavors without worrying about portion sizes. Located on E Thomas Rd, it’s the kind of place where families, groups of friends, and anyone with a big appetite feel right at home.

The restaurant is a buffet-style Chinese eatery with an expansive selection that stretches beyond typical fare. Here, you’ll find everything from hot and sour soup and egg drop soup to sushi, sashimi, and fresh seafood options like crab legs and oysters. The variety also includes barbecue ribs, New York steak, and Asian salads like seaweed and kimchi that lend a fresh, tangy balance to heavier dishes. For those who want to mix and match, the buffet offers combinations of chicken, beef, pork, noodles, rice, and fruits, often paired with dessert or seafood.

The atmosphere buzzes with energy, especially during dinner hours when groups of diners, including a number of Asian families, gather for karaoke and socializing. This creates a lively, casual vibe that feels authentic rather than staged. Seating options vary between booths, which offer more privacy, and more accessible tables, catering to different group sizes and preferences. Staff members stay attentive, frequently checking in to refill drinks and keep the buffet fresh, which adds to a smooth, relaxed experience despite the bustling environment.

Red Wok Buffet is best suited for diners who want an all-you-can-eat adventure in Chinese cuisine and beyond, with enough variety to satisfy picky eaters as well as seafood lovers and sushi fans. The portion sizes and pricing make it a reasonable pick for adults and larger groups, especially on weekend evenings when the place fills up and the karaoke amplifies the sociable atmosphere.

While the dessert selection is not the main attraction here, the main courses more than make up for it with fresh, quality ingredients that don’t feel like typical buffet fare. Whether you’re craving classic dishes like lo mein and barbecue chicken or want to experiment with Asian salads and sashimi, the Red Wok Buffet aims to cover a broad range without feeling overly commercialized.

You don’t usually expect great service at a buffet, but that’s exactly what I got here. The staff was super friendly and kept checking on me to refill my water, and the food had a good variety like sushi, ribs, Mongolian grill, and plenty of desserts. I also liked that they had both booths and tables booths felt more private, but tables were easier to get in and out of.

Went here with a few friends. Was surprised by the price, even though it was dinner. However, I was even more surprised by the food. Some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten in my life, and it was completely unlimited. The desserts are lacking a little bit, but the variety of normal food was great. I highly recommend this place to anybody who loves large amounts of Chinese food. Miles better than that Golden Coin Chinese Buffet down the road. There was sushi, chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, Mongolian pork, beef and broccoli, the staples of Chinese food, but they also had more American foods like pizza, mashed potatoes, fries, chicken nuggets, so if little kids don’t like Chinese, they can still eat, not to mention the fruit. My only complaint is the price which was just over $20 per person, but that’s just a personal pet peeve that buffets do when they up the price during dinner. However, unlike other buffets which seem to have a high variety of crappy food, Red Wok Buffet had a high variety of high quality foods. Maybe I just have bad taste but this food was unlike any other Buffets I’ve been to. The place was very clean, which was nice for the nasty area surrounding the business. There was also plenty of space, with many tables open. I found it a little weird how you can’t fill up your own drinks at a soda fountain per se and have to get the waiter to, but I guess it’s convenient. Also, thank you for installing protective sneeze guards. It is genuinely insane that we are in the year 2025 and places do not protect food from disgusting people who spray their germs all over communal food. We had a very nice waitress, made sure to tip. One of the people at our table chose not to eat, which we noticed she was concerned about, so if this waitress (which I highly doubt) is reading this review, I promise we made sure he didn’t eat anything. I would be concerned too if 5 young men walked into my restaurant and one of them looked like he was trying to dodge paying for food. In conclusion, this place has a wide variety of well-prepared foods, a clean environment, and is perfect for large groups of people. I will be coming back soon. Never going to Panda Express ever again.

Best all-you-can-eat buffet for Chinese food hands down. Been to most of buffets in Vegas and Red Wok beats them all! Best quality food, always fresh and wonderful staff. They are all hard working always making sure beverages are full and they also have a wok grill in addition to a massive buffet of egg rolls, soups, fresh rice, lo mein, seafood and so much more including pizza for those craving something different! You will not be disappointed!!!
